Put an MP3 on there and find out? Pretty darned good bet that's exactly what it's for though (LMP-NG ported to a plugin to handles certain file types.) edit:/ yep, that's exactly what it is.

A little bug for me: when I udpdate the cheat file with wi-fi, it's impossibile to reset and return to akaio menu, I have got 2 white screens, but the file was updated!!!!
I must turn off the ds and than turn on to play!!!!
I have a AK2 with 4gb sdhc!!!

DS Wifi settings are correct, but it still aborts after soem 10 KBs.
usercheatup works without problems. I guess I will use that one, at least until these problems are found.

Yeah, good question. I'll get an AK2 tomorrow or the day after tomorrow and I would like to know why I should use this firmware and not the original one. I'm pretty new, so a little explanation with every feature would be nice. Thanks

It downloads a little bit like around 0-75KB but then it just gives me the error for both USRCHEAT.DAT and CHEAT.XML.

Just gotta make sure I'm not whoring my pipe on other things when I do it.

Sometimes it gets some KB but then it stops downloading for some reason and gives me that stupid error. Then I get a white screen.

But look on the bright side--it's not a product breaking bug. You can work around it by just downloading+copying the database manually, which you only need to do what? every week or two, unless you've got OCD and can't sleep knowing that the file on your AK isn't current?

But in the meantime, I'm assuming you've already troubleshooted all possible network problems? Is your wifi configured correctly, because those sorts of problems are outside the scope of this thread.

Smiths+Normmatt--There's something I've been wondering in light of the news that Cyclo just added this feature. Is the wifi update something that you guys innovated, or did Cyclo or one of the others have it first? I'm just curious for the sake of having my facts in order.

I can play Mario Kart DS wi-fi so I know my connection is good. I also use the internet browser (DSOrganize and the Nintendo DS Browser).

IOwnAndPwnU - I'll be blunt: we've heard you have problems with the wifi. posting a response to every friggin post in this thread does not help us at all. stop bloating the AK threads. Post counts != Bigger penis.

dib- I didn't know they put it in their menu. The wifi is all me. Basically I had heard of usrCheatup and thought "huh... wonder if that can be used within the GUI". So i put libwifi into the AK menu and had it just do the basic examples from the dswifi tests (fetch some headers). Then I had it download a full file (which took a while because there were malloc's and whatnot needed to make sure the zip file was not corrupting).
Then came the zip. zlib was ported to the DS by GPF, but by default it just handled GZip. So the minizip routines had to be included and made sure to function, and so unzipping became real.

Then it was just a bunch of clean ups and "pretty-ing" and "de-stupid-people-izing" it. The latter still goes on to this day, obviously. Dumb people will try hitting every damn button during a progress bar.... or downloading 15 torrents at a time and going "why my DS no werk?".

So yeah... if others are including it in their OS, good for them. But I'd like to think we put it in an OS loader first.

Plus the routines are pretty much generic; my original idea was to have you make like .link files with a URL in them and download from the GUI. But, alas, memory ran out so anything now would just be like DSOrganize has and I'm not stepping on any toes because DSOrganize rules.
But, should like a true central repository for say.. savelist.bin exist, i think that's covered in the routines.

Followed your project for a while. Just got back from a 2 month trip yesterday and gave it a go, and I must say I'm really impressed with the akaio 1.2. I have no complains whatsoever. I praise you both on the work done for Acekard2/rpg (I own both)

I have one request (if possible):
Could you add support for M3 GBA pack? (slot 2)
The reason thats considered a good pack is because its the only slot 2 device (to my knowledge) that supports RTC, besides M3 perfect lite of course.

Question 1: Do the games you're trying support rumble?
If no, then you've learned something.
If yes, then who knows? We don't have 3in1s to test.
