Ok, so i examined the video and did some testing myself.

The loaders on the video are (in order)
1. AK2 (official maybe?)
2. AK2 BLISS
3. another AK menu, perhaps AKAIO?
4. R4 PRO
5. ??? (maybe ysmenu?)
6. U2DS
7. M3Sakura (DLDI Sakura i guess)

I can confirm that:
R4 Ultra firmware works when replacing akmenu4.nds with it, However if you launch it through the ak2 firmware/ysmenu/u2ds it will not boot any roms. If you boot through DSO it will work (and presumably other homebrew loaders like DSkiosk as per video)

Also, the U2DS firmware works, but it requires akloader.nds to be inside the u2core folder.
akloader.nds can be produced using yasus ysmenu tools (read the ysmenu for ak2 readme).

Maybe U2DS and/or the other loaders could actually be based off ysmenu???

Can someone tell me, is there any difference between the R4PRO and R4ULTRA firmwares? they look identical to me... except for maybe a few bytes of text and one has a much larger cheat dat.

Yes, the U2DS is a DSTT clone but its menu is based off of YSMenu (seemed to really peeve Yasu off in the readme of the latest version of YSMenu).

So it's no surprise that you can run the U2DS menu on the AK2 once you've extracted the AK2 official loader.

Whoops, i only just realized that after i researched about U2DS (I had just assumed it was a R4 clone at first lol).

Does U2DS have any better compatability with launching roms, or any other better features than official YSmenu?

Also, is the U2DS website down? I can't access it.

I seriously doubt that they've improved upon YSMenu much without the source code. And since YSMenu itself depends on the official loader from the official TTMenu firmware for loading ROMS, it's unlikely that ROM compatibility is any better than the official YSMenu (which is in turn no better than the official TTMenu firmware).

The 6in1 loader shows dskiosk booting ak2 firmware and it running roms, however i can't get any of the loaders to boot roms after running through dskiosk.

However I can get them all to work by loading as default firmware (akmenu4.nds) or by loading through other loaders (ie. i can run akaio through r4pro and it works, but official doesn't work through r4pro).

Could this be fixed by changing the booting code in dskiosk? Or is this an issue with the loaders themselves? Or is it even an issue with the ak2loader.nds generated by ysmeny (ie. do i need to make a version using an older loader?).

Test AKAIO1.3FF with R4 Ultra.

it works.

How about AKAIO with R4i ? Thanks !

I did not R4i with the DSi. Can not test.
But may be able to.

You can try it.
-Extract R4i 1.52 & AKAIO firmware to TF
-Running R4i 1.52, then run akmenu4.nds

USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

1 question : Is it possible to go straight into AKAIO automatically ?
