Now that ScummVM has a truly excellent 3DS port and Vice 3DS is basically established as the greatest C64 emulator of all time, there are relatively few reasons to pick up my PSP rather than my 3DS. One big gap that I think remains, however, is Adventure Game Studios (AGS). For those who don’t know, AGS is an engine that runs homebrew adventure games, including a handful of 5 star original and classic remakes. A solid port to the PSP exists — buried in Wololo’s forum, but I have not been able to find a 3DS port. Does anyone know if any work has gone into a 3DS port or if there are technical reasons to believe a port not to be feasible? Thanks!

Well, judging by the initial reaction to this, there's not a lot of interest. But the good news is that ScummVM on the 3DS is better than ever and in the past few weeks, the AGS engine has been added to it! Quest for Glory II remake from AGD (one of the greatest fan games in history) actually boots and gets to the Katta Inn before crashing. Really exciting stuff. Hopefully we are only a few weeks away from stable access to several hundred classic adventure games.
