The point is not the emulator itself, but test the high memory layout compatibility and bugs
Oh i see. In that case the arcade emulator cps2psp 2.3.1 psp slim version crashes when loading games since the slim version uses high memory layout. mvspsp 2.3.1 for psp slim runs fine though.

Is you FFVIII a multi disc eboot or single CD? I have an eboot of just the last disc and my save data from TNX/PSP and can't get it to load in adrenaline. I gat the PS1 boot logo then black screen. Any ideas?
all discs in one eboot.

Just tried RE2 myself (cause of your post) and can confirm its black screening. In fact it seems to freeze the entire PSP thing. Though going to the adrenaline and official menu still works. Quite odd, and i wonder why

Does it black screen on boot or when you enter the police station for the 1st time (cut-scene). Old PSP days it used to require POPS 3.40, as Resident Evil 2 was one of the problematic titles, so native Adrenaline 6.61 may be the cause.

Blackscreen on boot, but the dualshock version doesn't blackscreen. didnt play it far though.

well that makes all this completely pointless...psp it is i guess

way to get peoples hopes up

Yeah, kinda feel the same. I was eagerly waiting for this, so I could have all 3 (PSP, PS1 and Vita backups under the same roof) but mainly wanting full PS1 support, so looks like digging out the old M33 5.00 and Pro CFW PSP's it is. Wondering what the cause of the restriction is, that hinders popsloader to work with Adrenaline.

Personally this plays PS1 games way way better than my PSP ever did. Plus you got the touchscreen buttons for L2R2 and a second stick for games that work with it. Sure some games don't work with it, but for the ones that do work with its the best way to play PS1 games on a handheld. by far.

i'll stick with psp. Way too many good games don't work with adrenaline.

Hopefully Retroarch catches up eventually.

Dunno if it is exactly the same. Since it use PSVITA emulator it could be a little different for few game ( or PSVITA emulator = POPS 6.31 :/ )

Sure but I can't imagine that it would add any new compatibility. Certainly possible that a few games might be broken but I have yet to find any so far...
