Hello, so i did a custom firmware for my 3DS XL (Luma, GodMode, and B9 are installed). Everytime i click on the Friends Menu, it shows me that im "offline" but im connected with my Wifi (and no theres nothing wrong with that) and the wireless LED is On. And yet still im "offline". What should i do? Does it remove the feature to add friends when you install a custom firmware?

Cheers

No. Installing CFW doesn't block or modify the friend list normal functionality.

Is your 3DS internet connection perharps using a particular DNS or proxy that could be blocking the access to the Ninty servers? (it could be possible of you use either the Safecerthax or the SSLoth methods to install CFW, for example).

And, is your console updated to the latest system version?

Yes, i used a different DNS to install the CFW. I tried to set the DNS Settings back to Auto but it still doesnt work.

And my 3DS is on 11.14.0 - 46E

Ok. Can you enter normally to another online services like eShop, NNID settings, web browser or even online mode from any 3DS game? Could you post a screenshot of your Friend List actual status?

I recommend for now to delete all your 3DS configured slot connections and then reconfig one of them from zero.

I can open the NNID Settings, but not the web browser or the eShop. Everytime i try to open one of these it will also tell me that an errror appeared and i should check my internet settings. And when i try to open my Friends Menu it will also tell me that im offline and go to my internet settings.

I fixed it. Turns out you need to delete your current Internet Settings and reconfigure it again. Thanks a lot! <3

@SylverReZ, so their only way of getting money is thru scams?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, Exactly.

Why not they just mine Monero instead of scamming vulnerable people? If they have a decent machine they can hit a jackpot at any given time.

Bitcoin on the other hand, requires a very powerful mining rig and is more costly.

Technically, cryptocurrencies aren't illegal, as long as you don't use it for criminal activity. If you sign up with an exchange, and that they get a tip from law enforcement, they have the right to freeze your assets.

@SylverReZ, Yea I heard law is vastly different there

Nigeria's central bank did make crypto illegal before, until last year they lifted the ban. Always make sure to check before you exchange. ;)

@SylverReZ, speaking of crypto i remember reading about a guy who spend like 10 grand bitcoin on a couple pizzas (when bitcoin wasnt as worthy as nowadays)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's mental. If he had saved up when Bitcoin sky-rocketed in price, then he might've become the next Jeff Bezos for all I know.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, he couldnt know the price was gonna skyrocket anyway
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Then it dropped sometime in 2022, 2021 was when it really went up in price.

@SylverReZ, I also recall watching a video of some failed games with their own crypto currency or smth like that, lemme link it to you (it's in spanish tho)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, I remember that. Didn't Steam ban games with NFTs before somehow devs managed to circumvent it? Think EA tried to dabble in NFTs too.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Glad to hear people realise that NFTs aren't worth it these days. They realise that they're JPEGs hosted on a file-hosting site like AWS or Google Drive.

    Atleast it has captions

@Xdqwerty, Meta also tried to create their own crypto, but that fell through.
