i'm basically trying to backup the saves of DS games i own so i can use them on my M3 Real.

if anyone has any experience and/or recommendation which one i should get, it would be very appreciated.

ps, i don't have any Slot-2 device except RAM cartridge from buying the official Web Browser.

edit: added more choices

Do you have a DS slot m3 card or a GBA one and which version if it is the latter?.

You want to back up DS saves, if so have a look at savsender if it is only a DS slot cart, it uses wifi to work so you need a connection:
http://frodo.dyn.gno.org/~brettk/savsender
(there was a nice frontend released around here back in August I think it was).

GBA Slot: rudolphs DS rom dumping tools are as good as any:
http://www009.upp.so-net.ne.jp/rudolph/nds/NDS_Backup/

Just to round it off how to grab GBA saves with a DLDI capable GBA slot cart (there is nothing to grab GBA saves with a DS slot cart and supercards are purported not to work with this):
http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/SendSave/index.html (bottom of the page)

Edit: If you do go ahead and get a save you will most likely need a converter, http://shunyweb.info/convert.php

Now I have no real real knowledge how any of the extra stuff works on the R4 or M3, so if this reply sounds totally stupid, please forgive me.

Couldn't you just take a sav file from your card, and put it on the computer for a backup? Or am I missing something here.

it worked wonders with my American games, but for my imports, not so much. has anyone came across this problem?

which also brings up, if i did get an Action Replay, could i backup import games?
