Just to make sure.. this ONLY WORKS on atmosphere? (NOT SX-OS)?

As long as SXOS provide an LayeredFS support, that's work on every CFW, but i guess installation process are not the same.

Interesting, could I catch insects or ground animals from an original game by traveling to the island locally? or could I corrupt the game's operation?

I understand that " Both switch should have this mods to be able to sync." says it's not possible?

No corruption:
- Catch insect/fish, drop it with the new enabled option in inventory
- quite game
- disable mod
- launch game..
Profit

Droped fish and insect are still here and collectable. Just like a simple trad when you give a fish or an insect to a villager.
That do not trigger he Critteropedia.

Without the complete error I can't help you.
This error provide a TitleId can you paste it ?
Also, the archive is formatted for Atmosphere 10+ with /contents/ folder not /titles/ this is the most common error for those unable to launch this mods.
Oof, updating AtMoSpHeRe was a disaster... Black screen whatever I tried.

Anyway back to 9.2 | AMS 0.10.5
The titleid is 010041544d530000
I tried Hekate archive bit fix, 0 at 0 unset

I tried Hekate archive bit fix, 0 at 0 unset

That's not the titleID of ACNH (01006F8002326000)
It's more related to a wrong atmosphere installation

Got atmosphere 12 working now, thank you.

Now to try the mod again...

i wonder, would this mod work on others islands if it was only tradable bug/fish? i get why it doesnt work with increasing the stack size but i dont see a reason why tradable bug/fish wouldnt

everything is on the same files.
ACNH come with an anti cheat system.
Whene you go on another island, some files have their sig compared.
if they don't match, you're unable to play together.

IF every switch have mods, everything works.

This will add a glitch. this items are in fact sub-items in a main family.
Stack is for Family, so if I set a stack value for it, you will lose the sub-items information.
that's why I do not set stack for Tree, Flower, Seashell (those for bait), Insect and Fish.

Every flower should be stacked together without color diff etc..

Cela ajoutera un problème, ces objets sont les sous produits d'une catégorie.
L'empilement maximum est défini par catégorie. Actuellement cet empilement est à 0.
Si je le défini autrement, en l'augmentant par exemple, On perd l'information de l'item, comme son nom, sa couleur etc..
Le jeu considera le stack comme un seul objet quelque soit son contenu.
Il ne comprendra pas qu'il est composé de fleurs de différentes couleurs.
Certains objets sont définis ainsi, comme les Arbes, les Insectes, les Poissons, les Palourdes (d'ailleurs ce sont les seuls coquillages à faire partie d'une catégorie laissant supposer l'ajout de la plongée sous marine)

On the root of your SD card there should be a folder titled "Atmosphere" and inside that there's another folder titled "contents", inside your contents folder create a folder titled "01006F8002326000" this is the title ID of animal crossing new horizons. drag the romFs folder from this post's archive inside the 01006F8002326000 folder and the mods will automatically load through layeredfs every time you start the game while running CFW. If you want to disable mods temporarily then start the game while holding the L button and layeredfs wont load the mods that time you're playing the game, if you wish to permanently get rid of a mod then just delete the romfs folder.

I can't get it to work in sxos.
The files should go into /sxos/titles/01006F8002326000 but when I add them, the game will instantly crash after lauching it.
This happened to me with every single Animal Crossing mod so far, for some reason they just don't work on sxos. LayeredFS works totally fine with other games, though (at least for me).
Has no one else tried getting it to work on sxos so far?

The limitation is ridiculous.

I think this should be possible, but requires to find the proper files in EventFlow and increase or remove limitation.
Real problem is repack this kind of file. There no tools actually for ACNH files, only for Zelda BOTW.

Is it also possible to increase house storage size? 1600 is way too low
I really doubt about it. it's not just a number:
how savegame could handle more items than previously ?
How User Interface should react etc..
We need to wait an increase by Nintendo
