Hacking Acekard's MicroSD card not working on PC?

I have an Acekard 2i and have been using it with great success, however, recently whenever I plug it into my PC it does not pop up like it's supposed to. And if it does pop up it will not let me add or remove files from it?

This happened when I added the newest firmware via my Mac laptop (I usually ue my PC). Did the two different platforms of computing cause the problem? Or was it the way I added the new firmware (Deleted the old file from the card first, then added the new).

I tried formatting the card but it is 'write protected' and would not allow me.

I don't now what's going on? Technical error with the card or human error with what I recently did?

(Also I had a DSi which was updated with the 1.4 firmware. Before the firmware my computer recognized it fine, but after is when my PC started having issues. Does the 1.4 do something to the cards themselves?)

how are you plugging in an ak2i into your pc? your talking about the microSD... not sure how that has anything to do with the acekard.

yes. use the panasonic formatter on the microSD in a windows environment. then put on a fresh copy of akaio 1.4.1 proper repack. only save your globalsettings.ini and your custom themes.

First thing is to check if your reader has a write protection lock and disable it. Most people accidently flick it and dont notice.

And try a different connection. Take my computer for example. It won't read the MicroSD card with an SD card adapter, but it will read it with a MicroSD USB Card Reader. Dunno why.

Yeah, I meant my microSD card, not the Ak2i itself. Where or what is the panasonic formatter? Is it a hardware or a software?

The reader I am currently using is the one that comes standard with the ak2i from www.leetmod.com. I don't know if it has any locks, but I don't see any tabs for one.

Well my PC acknowledges that I have inserted a device (The USB card reader), but it act as if there is no MicroSD card inserted into the reader. So I can't recognize the card to attempt a format. Not sure why? Must have been a corrupted file might have screwed things up? I know when I tried updating my SDcard when it last worked, one file took FOREVER to load, then after that nothing cooperated.

Thanks for the help, though. I have another card coming in the mail and things should be fine with it.

you should test that card in another reader and that reader with another card. one of the two is bad.
