Hacking Acekard Cheats Help?

Where do I enter the Action Replay Cheat codes and Why do the cheats that make you press a Specific button make it freeze?

(infinite money press L+R=FREEZE

complete pokedex press select=FREEZE

but mostly this happens in pokemon platinum. Rarely it happens in other games. And I know there is a cheat file that has cheats already the .dat file but if i have action replay codes then where do I enter it? If I need to download something, please give me links!
Oh yeah, I have a DSi, Acekard 2i. If that's important.

Okay I looked around and found R4cce, so I used it but i can't find Pokemon platinum?

I give up on R4cce. Can someone tell me how to put cheats in notepad , blah blah the code...you know...
