Is it possible to flash the ak2 (not ak2i) with a copy of it's firmware? I have a faulty ak2 that I've received a while back, which corrupts the filesystem on any write - which is possibly a firmware problem - not akaio, or the official "firmware" but the firmware that's on the cart itself. I've recently come across the unofficial fix firmware for using the ak2i on a 1.4 firmware DSi - so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a similar tool, to flash the ak2's firmware.

sounds like a bad msd or msd slot issue to me. did you reformat the card, did it have any positive effects? you can't reflash a normal ak2.1.
