I have a non spring loaded Acekard 2i. Meaning the micro SD card went in and out without clicking or having to push a spring.
Today I asked my sister if she could give me the card to load a game on it, she went ahead and took out the SD card, but she didn't know and pushed it down to take it out like if it was spring loaded.
It turns out that now it works as a spring loaded card, what the hell? It clicks now.
It's still working, but it's weird as fuck that it became spring loaded out of nowhere.
What happened? Is it going to break? Should I get a new one?

If you press the spring down it will click, and lock into place, but you can still easily remove the micro sd card. I thought it was weird too, as it shouldn't operate that way, right?! But it does, and it's "normal." You could continue using it like that, and it won't cause any damage to the flash card, or your micro sd card. :)

Oh wow, I thought my spring broke or something, I mean if I push it down and pressure it enough I could hear the "clickety" sound it makes, but at the same time I could either push it down (to remove) or just pull it out and it will still be removed. I guess we're on the same page? If so, then it's "normal" then?

Yes, it's normal in the sense nothing is broken, BUT the Acekard Team used crappy parts to make their flash card. :(

My spring still works so I use the spring to insert and eject my Micro SD ;P I don't wanna do it roughly risking some mechanical damage in the Acekard 2i, lol. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Just found out he's doing alright, doing a lot of complaining too, rightfully so. Who wouldn't complain after having a seizure and being hospitalized?
