I keep getting the error message of System File cannot be found. I have a DS lite and have tried with both 8gb and 16gb sdhc cards. I tried the latest official firmware from acekard as well as the akaio versions, both produces the same result. I even attempted to use the akaio 1.7 for the "bad batch" that my card may have fallen into. I've searched the boards and followed all the guides but have yet to find a solution. Any suggestions?

Is "System File is Missing" the error message? if so it means it can find akmenu4.nds in the root directory of your MicroSD card. This is an issue with how you are setting the card up. If it's my guide you've followed, it really should cover all the bases.

The bad batch problem was just a save issue, and only effected the Acekard 2.1's which yours isn't. There is no specific AKAIO 1.7 for the 'bad batch', there was only Official 4.22. All versions of AKAIO 1.7 work on all Acekards including those from the 'bad batch'.

Before you ask, the Acekard 2i works fine on the DS Lite.

If you feel a square shape underneath the sticker, it's possible you have a clone.

I've followed that guide and it still doesn't work. The cards have been formatted to FAT32, __aio and akmenu4.nds in the root folder, and I still get the error. There's a bump under the sticker, not a square. I pulled off the sticker and its a circle. Not sure if that will help.

Post a screen shot of the root of your MicroSD.

This is one with my trying with the official firmware. Same result with akaio firmware as well.

Possibly your MicroSD is formatted incorrectly.
It has to be FAT/16 or FAT32

Yes, they're both in FAT32 format.
Seems to be the way OS X is formatting the SD card. Just download GParted and boot it. Find the SD card in the drop-down menu in the top right. Select the one partition it has and reformat it as FAT32.

Tried reformatting with windows a few times, finally got it to work. Thanks a bunch!
