Hacking Acekard 2i 3DS update

The official acekard website has updated it's front page:

Update of AK2i for 3DS! [ 2011-03-25 ]

But when you click on the link the file is down and you get a 404 error

Did anyone manage to get the file and test it out?

Updates:

The link to the file isn't officially out - Link is broken but unreleased file link is below
Some people are reporting 'bricking' so use at your own risk!
Others reporting that it works by deleting specific system files (See below)
Maybe problems in updating HW 44

A lot of people stating the DSi file isn't working when updating on the DSi but will work on the DS lite/phat

Possible workaround: (Some reporting this didn't work)

I foud a way to make it work:

-dl ak2ifw_update_3ds_v1.nds
-put it on the micro sd
- used my phat to launch the file and update (had no error: 100% and powered off the phat)

after that the flashcard wasn't working anymore. The icon had become the japanese weird thing and when trying to launch it i just got a black screen.

So i erased everything from the micro sd (only firmware related, not the games, including the ak2ifw_update_3ds_v1.nds) and installed the new akaio firmware.

Now it's working on my 3DS

Update 2: Official file is now up

Update 3: Team Acekard have updated their site saying they need to fix a bug in the 3DS update file

'The Oldest AK2i Can't Update Temporarily

The first type of AK2i, which has a little window in the shell of back, can't update to support 3DS temporarily. The HWID of this type of AK2i is "44". We need do more test. Please be patient. We're sorry for the inconvenience.'

Works for me:

This update can make your AK2i run DS games on 3DS. The 3DS and 3DS games are not hacked yet. Please be patient.
Please choose a update file to run depends on the type of your console.
"ak2ifw_update_3ds_v1_DSi.nds" for DSi and DSiXL.
"ak2ifw_update_3ds_v1_DSL.nds" for DSL and DSPhat.
Then follow the instruction on screen.
We take no responsibility for any damage of fake cards caused by update.

just buy a flashcart that works. it only works eur and japan systems.the acekard company only has japan system so how is it going to work on usa are eur wait 1 month for fix

No, the ds mode on 3ds isn't region locked.
They have probably not yet released the proper bootstrap update.

im not updating because new games are comming out and its not hacking it same stuff on dsl/dsi anyway so ill play on these systems anyway because big update is comming in may
