And how come this thread from 2011 has suddenly been resurrected when there's Pong's compilation thread and one specifically for the AK2i 4.3 beta update?

There's no such thing. It is as simple as putting the .nds file on your card and running it like you would a rom. What exactly is happening when you try to run it?

Well, I've still got the 'Dorasu' icon when I put it in my 3DS. I try to run it and I get the old 'An error has occurred..' screen. I've followed various guides to the letter, numerous times, but to no avail.
