Hacking Acekard 2 or 2i?

Hi hi, I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it and I want to make sure about this before I put in my order.

I tried comparing them but they both seem rather similar to me on paper (on dealer sites anyway). I was wondering, if I'm not buying a DSi is there anything I'm missing by buying the 2.1 version instead of the 2i? Are there significant differences I should know of? Is support from Akaio going to continue for the 2i and not the 2? Things like that.

It seems pretty ok to buy the 2 to me after looking around but I'd rather be sure and this seemed like the best place to ask.

If you want a cart for a DS phat/lite and plan on using your phat/lite forever, you should get an AK2.1.

If you want a DSi cart, an AK2i is one of the best out for it. However, I have been hearing multiple reports of contact errors, so it might be wise to wait for Acekard to fix their carts.

AKAIO works on both 2.1 and 2i, and as of now is continuing support for both.

As for differences in the carts, I haven't heard of any except for the obvious, that the AK2i is DSi compatible.

I guess he means when you insert the cart but it's not recognized and you need to reinsert it until it is.

To fix contact errors, just make the card slightly thicker with tape or something.
