Ok just tried what you suggested, heres what I did and the result.

System now boots up, I can access homebrew menu and run apps normally.

I cannot however boot any games, software won't launch and trying running Devmenu 6.x gives me a corruption error.

Do I need to downgrade to play my games? How do I go about getting this back to the way

You need patches put back in (I think) to play NSPs: https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-heard-that-you-guys-need-some-sweet-patches-for-atmosphere.521164/

He already did that, see post #12; still, this don´t work for me neither, any other suggestions?
U did something wrong. When updating the atmos files did u overwrite them? If so go back. And delete everything for atmos and then put them back onto ur sd card. Start fresh with atmos. And again. Grab those sig patches.

Yeah, I just overwrite them... Tomorrow will try again. You recommend just atmos or kosmos package? Thanks!

Kosmos should work. Do u use the SD card setup guide thing?

https://www.sdsetup.com/console?switch
No, just get from GitHub, bc on sdsetup the patches arent updated, right?

Gotta delete the CFW off SDCard before copying a new one (even if same version!)
That’s weird but I’ll give a try. Do your think this will solve my backups don’t updating or don’t installing anymore?
Thanks everyone, but I can’t do this till tomorrow. When I try will be back to update.

Só, just to let the things clear, I must delete everything on my card besides Nintendo folder and just after restart for the first time, should install my homebrew?

You ONLY need to DELETE the CFW files, homebrew and games will STAY~

And it's common, for whatever reason if the overwrite doesn't complete (Like being on exFAT) or the overwrite has less files than the original folder, the files mismatch and cause the CFW to lock up or have weird affects.

Once you update your CFW, boot into it, and confirm the games work. Let us know!

Doesn´t he need to run the Lockpick payload? Im in the same situation as the OP but using reinx CFW

No

Extract atmo 0.89

Put sig patches in atmosphere folder

Done

Its really that easy

All cfw are the same just use their default folders

No, thats for generating NSP's, not running them, he needs a clean CFW folder and sig patches (As @ModderFokker619 pointed out)

Isn't the process slightly different for SXOS? That is what OP is using.

For sx os all you need is the boot.dat 2.7.1 for8.x and your license

xci in root - Or other folders that detect them
nsp in any folder and install with SX installer, tinfoil, goldleaf, devmenu etc

Finally I get the files, deleted old ones and start all over.
But I´m still with errors when installing updates for games, error 0x234a02 - Invalid NCA, or you already has this title on your console.
Am I screwed?

I´ll make some more tests with another file manager and, if not solve it, will open another thread.

Thanks!!

Ok so I using my switch last night with a few friends to play a multiplayer game. I dropped it into my dock which has a usb ethernet adapter plugged into it. When I dropped the switch in the dock and then realized the adapter was still plugged in but I quickly unplugged the adapter from the dock, the switch was maybe in the dock for a minute or so which the adapter was still plugged in. Keep in mind I have wireless disabled and no internet connections set up on this switch.

Whenever I boot up a game it always says Update is available and you have click open software instead but the default option is on the upgrade button. One of my friends accidentally hit that upgrade button on the controller while launching the game (this was after the usb ethernet adapter has already been unplugged for like 10 minutes and there should have been no internet access) and to my surprise the system said "updating" and then "update complete" I was shocked because I was like wait how did it find an internet connection? Perhaps it somehow got wireless info for the wifi through that minute or so while the usb ethernet adapter was still plugged in.

Regardless, now my switch won't boot past Hekate. I keep running hekate and then launching a payload and it goes black and nothing happens at all. I'm pretty pissed because I don't see how it managed to update still and I can't get it on to test anything or figure out how to remedy this problem. The switch certainly does not seem bricked, I mean is that even possible to brick just from an accidental update? Anyway any all help would be greatly appreciated.

Prior to this happening I was running version 7.0.1 and had everything mostly update and running smoothly offline.
Run Incognito and patch your Switch and you won't have to deal with problems like this.
You'll also be safe from getting flagged for a ban.
Just make sure you move the prodinfo backup it makes somewhere safe (multiple copies in different locations is better, stick one on your gdrive or Dropbox), and don't keep it on the SD as malicious homebrew could steal it.

What is that file for? I get that too and when I make a copy and delete it it shows right back up i think. What's that for?

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.

I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length

All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go

Ken unless the games are made for that screen size most suck on a screen that size... Having a square screen and being brighter and higher res helps but it's not a cure all, text is tiny bullets are tiny, your.... Well lol
