Hacking Question About the 'Ban' on the Switch

Actually see this scenario:
The father decides to hack his Switch but his account is also linked to his kids' Switch.
- What will happen if his Switch gets banned? I'm assuming the kids' will also as per your logic?

Regarding the new Switch: some Switch hacker on Twitter (Shiny...!?) claimed he got both his Switches banned although the other one had never been hacked before.

*snip*
That is my exact situation. I think I'm just going to completely erase the other switch and start all over on it.

Yeah seems like also the ban is console specific! Upon unlinking you basically get back your purchased content and can use on a new account as per @Ptrk25's experience.
Not new account, your purchased games are still on your old Nintendo account. You can link your old account to your new switch and download your games. ( after the support unlinked it from the old console for you)

To which support did you wrote? "supprot_dot_ru" and "support_dot_com" answered "you are a cheater, cant help you"

Thanks for contacting us. This error code indicates the Nintendo Switch console you are using has been permanently banned from connecting online due to a breach of the user agreements.
A breach of user agreements may include, but is not limited to, activities such as:

1. Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions
2. Violation of the Code of Conduct

We are unable to lift the ban on the system, repair or replace the system, or assist with transferring content to a new system. If you purchased a pre-owned system that was banned, we encourage you to work with the seller for a resolution to this situation.

Sincerely,

Nintendo of America Inc.

I wrote to support_dot_de, because I live in Germany. What did you wrote in your e-mail? In my e-mail I said that my old switch is broken, I said nothing about the ban (or error code). I just asked them to unlink the account from the old console, because it's "unusable".

Email Response (translated):
Dear Mr. [name],

Thank you for contacting Nintendo. We are happy to assist you in moving the Nintendo account.

To help you quickly, we need some more data from you:

- Nickname of your Nintendo account
- used e-mail address
- specified date of birth
- Name of affiliated Nintendo Network ID
- Serial number of the old console
- Serial number of the new console

We are happy to help you with further questions.
So I send them the information they needed and I got this response:
Dear Mr. [name],

Thank you for contacting Nintendo.

I am happy to inform you that we have successfully removed your Nintendo account from the Nintendo Switch. You can now use it again on a new Nintendo Switch completely.

We are happy to help you with further questions.

tried to return to factory settings , [hoping this will unlink acc from old/banned console :),] but getting 2181-4008 error, can you help me ?
now tried *DE* support in your way ( lucky me - there is no nintendo support in Latvia, so I could try to ping each support :D )

-edit-
No luck :(
Dear,

Thank you for replying to my e-mail and providing me with the details as requested.

I must inform you that the Nintendo Switch with serial number xxx is banned. We are therefore unfortunately not able to deactivate your Nintendo Account from it.

Should you have any more questions, feel free to contact us back.

Kind regards,

-more edit-
But banned is console, not account - account is accessible from my.nintendo and enters e-shop on new console :(
Can you make it work on new one ?
Thank you for replying to my e-mail.

I understand this, but the Nintendo Account is associated to the Nintendo Switch. We are therefore not able to do anything about it. I hope for your comprehension.

Should you have any more questions, feel free to contact us back.

Kind regards,

Zeki

Dear,

Thank you for replying to my e-mail.

I understand your situation.

Unfortunately, since the Nintendo Switch is banned and the Nintendo Account is associated to it.

A new Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Account are required to be used for the Nintendo Switch Online services in the future. I hope for your comprehension.

Should you have any more questions, feel free to contact us back.

Kind regards,

I've read you can unlink online (Login History page on Nintendo.com and log off from your Switch there) then you factory reset your Switch and then it should be unlinked.
Might be false though. Haven't been banned yet, so never tried it.

Make sure to use Checkpoint to backup your save data beforehand.
Make a NAND backup too beforehand in case something goes wrong.

No, banned console isnt there, and factory reset is not possible because of 2181-4008 error

Fair enough. There's quite a bit of contradictory information on this matter in the forum..!
Basically it'll unlink it on your side but since the console is banned and cannot communicate with Nintendo's servers, it'll stay linked on Nintendo's side.

Hi guys!
Please help me clear something up.
If your Switch gets banned while you purchased digital games on it what will happen if:
- You use this account (for the first time) to activate another Switch? Will that Switch get banned too?
- Deactivate (remove banned account from) a Switch and user another account on it? Will that get banned too?
And finally:
- Of what use is a banned Switch? Can it play card games, fetch (free) updates from Nintendo?
You can't remove an account from a Switch once you get banned, it gives you an error when you try it

Hi everyone!
I'd like to ask a quick question.
I got banned on my console with error 2181-4008. I can still log onto my Nintendo Account on the Nintendo.co.uk website and everything (full access).
Can I buy a new switch and log onto that one perfectly fine.
I contacted nintendo and they said it is not possible anymore for me however I can still log onto my nintendo account which don't make any sense to me.
PLEASE HELP!

The post above literally explains this.

Hey guys. I'm sure my question has already been asked before, but I'll ask anyway, in case my situation is slightly different.

After my Switch console got banned with Error Code 2124-4007, I have since unlinked it via the Nintendo Account settings page from my PC.
The console ban also prevented me from downloading game updates, but since I was able to receive system updates, I doubt it's a CDN ban.
My main concern: Will I get another console banned if I re-link my Nintendo Account to a new Switch?

I'm seriously debating if I should re-link the same Account to a new console, or if I should start from scratch with a new account (which I don't want to have to do)

Edit: Just so we're clear, I already unlinked the Nintendo Account from the Switch.
