Hardware about spotpass

does anyone know about spotpass ? i have my 3ds in standby and the blue light blinks. does it mean it downloaded things ? i have my 3ds recharging but without that black charge station. is it the same if i only use the grey thing to recharge the 3ds ?

blue light means you've got a spotpass notification.
If it's new it's probably just telling you about play coins, home button etc.
Yes, the cradle is just a lump of plastic to stick the 3DS in, it'll be the same as charging it straight.

A blue blinking light means that you have new notifications from SpotPass.

Simply go to your home menu and check the notifications list.

That's the ON light.

on the front are the charging(orange) and power(blue) led.
on the side is a network(green) led.
and in the hinge is a multi-color led that tells you about notifications(blue=spotpass green=streetpass)

The hinge one can also be orange to show that your friend is now online

Nintendo ill make a huge update in may, it will add DSi and 3DS store, probably the video player/maker, web browser and other things.

The LED in the hinge can also blink red, just like the power LED, which tells you that it's time to get some power fast... ^^

Whenever Nintendo pushes an update on you.
Streetpass however, all depends if there is a 3DS in sleep mode around you.
