Gaming About DLC...

I know I'm waaay behind on this stuff, but I'm curious about DLC and if there's any work being put into hacking/unlocking it in games that already have it on the disc. Ya know, those bastards like Ubisoft making you buy key files to unlock planes in HAWX when they're already on the disc. Basically, is there any way I can unlock this content without paying for it? I'm new to this next generation of gaming and just found out about this DLC scam game developers are using.

not sure about on the ps3 but i have seen people have been able to load on disc content before like with Soul Calibur 4 on the 360 before Namco put up the dlc
