I've reached the last step in Phailects Guide, arm9loaderhax installation. I have a few questions I would like to make clear of.

In Part 4, according to the guide, it told me to retrieve otp 0x100, but for some reason, it doesnt tell me to dump the 0x108 otp. I dumped it anyways, just to be safe. Is it not needed anymore?

In Part 5, it never mentioned anything about compiling the OTP. After hearing there is CloudA9H to compile your otp for you, I got confused why it was never mentioned in the guide. :/

Sorry if the questions were already asked before, I would like to make sure I'm doing everything right. Thanks!

I'm getting payload_stage1.bin doesn't exist when trying to install safea9lhinstaller. Any idea why? Thanks.
do you really follow the guide..... or you jumping around....

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

  1. Copy the a9lh folder from data_input.zip to the root of your SD Card
  2. Copy and merge the a9lh folder from payload_input.zip to the root of your SD Card
part5 second and third step

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

or you compile those two .bin files yourself.

No I didn't jump around :/ But I may have interpretted those steps wrong.

So what I did was copy the a9lh folder to my root. Isn't the 2nd step the same thing?

EDIT: OHHH my bad XD payload_input and data_input is almost the same, so i made a mistake, thanks!

Oh god. Cut the master race bullshit!t. It's so easy right now to get the otp with otp helper. What's so master race about that?
I agree that it's annoying to read that all day long but I don't agree with your argument. It's also easy to buy a PC but it doesn't change the fact it's masterrace compared to PS4 and XB1.

Not if it's a shitty PC. My friend plays all his games at 15-20 fps because he refuses to update.

It never was, although I would suggest dumping it anyway because it's a pain to downgrade to 2.1 and having the file could be useful to you in the future.

Fortunately it is not necessary to downgrade to 2.1 to get the 0x108 otp (as long as you have the 0x100 otp.bin) since the only difference is 0x108 includes your TWL ID. In fact otphelper has a function to do just that, generate otp0x180.bin from otp.bin on 9.0+

This has nothing to do with the difficulty if he refuses. When (if ever) he decides to "join the masterrace", he'll just have to buy a PC so no difficulty. Same, someone can refuse to dump the OTP or refuse to update from a PS2 to a newer hardware.

Wait so you don't need to downgrade to 2.1 to install A9LH anymore? :wtf: (I already have it but i'm making notes so I can install it on my friends system when they buy oot3d lol)
