well can't it be something else like the DVD drive of the Wii ?

if i remember correctly there were 3? different ones ...

a friend has a Wii which can read only like 1 out of 10 of the games i have and my wii can read all of them so i believe there is a difference with the dvd drives !

sadly it seems there is noone working on improving backuploader ...
very sad when a nice programm stops while being only at 0.3 ...

Well I tried an 8x speed burn of Super Mario Galaxy and the game plays well.......until I hit the cut scenes. It skips until eventually I get the same old "Can't read game disc error"....SO imma find a save somewhere (unless someone can give me one) that starts after all the intial scenes and see if it plays well. I will give the burn one more shot at 12x

10 bucks says your 12x burn will be garbage.

Download dvd info pro like I suggested early and run an error test on one of your burned discs that is not working.....preferably a 4x or 8x disc. Post the results.......we need some real information if you want to figure out a solution.

And of course the cutscenes will skip.....the disc is only being read at 3x compared to the 6x a pressed disc runs at. Nothing you can do about besides getting your Wii chipped or using usb loader.

its not the disks or the burner , its either A. you have the wrong cios installed or B. its a bad image

1.I only have a trial of DVD pro info and it wont let me do the DVD check thing...but I'll find a serial in the morning

2.Thanks for informing me about cut scenes. I was able to find a save where someone found the 1st star. I played the game for about an hour and its perfect

3.I have all the necessary cios installed and I'm pretty sure its not a bad image because as I said except for the cut scenes the game runs perfectly and Stang already explain the cut scenes issue

4.So with David and Stang's help I've come to the conclusion that the 8x burn is perfect and nothing I can do bout cut scenes

5.It's time for bed and I got places to be in the morning...but I soon as I get home I'll find the serial for dvd info pro and give you the info on the 2.4x and 8x disc

Good deal, seems like you got it working! Either post a screen cap or export the graph after taking the disc test. If I can't check it out I am sure somebody else will be willing.
