Hacking A9LH Guide Update - Discussion

i just installed a9hl to my o3ds,but what is a simple solution for .3ds to cia?
i use a9hl and luma,followed the new guide,i did not make a emunand,is it needed anyway?
i thought it could all be done on pc,but that seems not true.

thx,i come from a gateway 3ds card,thats simple,put 3ds files on your card and done,but i did not follow this project from the beginning,so im missing much info.
i searched on here,but maybe these are older techniques and now its maybe easy.
i gona check it now.
i cant start decrypt9 from homebrew launcher,but i readed thats normal,more people have that,seems you need the bin file,but where do i put that file,i already tried that file in luma\payloads.
then when start the system first press start and on button,same like hourglass.
after that its simple,just follow guide,but whatever i try,cant start decrypt 9.
im on latest firmware on sysnand,and everythings works fine,only decrypt9 not.
ok,got it working now,you have to rename the file(up_decrypt9.bin),same as start_hourglass
i can start decrypt9,go to xorpads,and my ncchinfo.bin,start the process,its failed for seeddb.bin,now i get godmode program and copied my 0000000 folder from it to my pc,
opened seedconv and get no seedfile,pffff,this is not very user friendly,realy not.
on a gateway you just put a 3ds file and launcher.dat file,but what shit you have todo for getting a cia file,gona go back to gateway,despite i have ah9l and luma working,but i dont want to spend hours to convert a game.
maybe i doing something wrong,its late,im gona sleep and maybe tomorrow its getting better.
i still try to make xorpad for zelda triforce,but it keep failling,do you have to be on 9.2 for that?

Okay, after following this I think something's wrong. All was good. My 3DS booted with my EmuNand content. I formatted the SD to delete the EmuNand partition. Now, with SD it sticks in a black screen. If I press START, Hourglass. If I press SELECT, I have Luma. And if I press other button, it just boots like it was on SysNand: no theme, no content, only DSIWare. I have unlinked NANDs, has this something to do with? What can I do?

Did you flash your emuNAND to your sysNAND before formatting your card (I assume through emuNAND9 with the "format with no emuNAND" option)?

Yeah, I restored the Emunand backup keeping A9LH. I simply format with SDFormater. I still have both Emunand and Sysnand backups.

i download a few games to test cia,because i cant get the fucking seeddb.bins for my games.
they work fine,but get notification for smash bros,updated it,nothing happened.
if i readed here on gbatemp,everbody was complain that a9lh is better and cfw is better.
but why its better,because you can start a homebrew or an app that me dont intrest.
going back to gateway right now.

Ok, what homebrew entrypoint are you using (to get to the launcher) so i can provide the correct methods

Do you use the payload packed in a zip called starter.zip?

download it from this site: https://smealum.github.io/3ds/

And scroll down til you see Otherapp/ropbin payloads

Select your version and choose otherapps (copy file to root of sd card)

Then redownload the starter pack ( https://smealum.github.io/ninjhax2/starter.zip) then extract it to the sd

What are you trying to do with the homebrew?

Okay, homebrew won't work in 4.5 since i tried that, if you have a flashcart that can update you to 9.2 then you will be able to access it, but don't update the sysnand since it is risky as you can be on 11.0 by mistake

Can you use dsp dump on emunand?
