I can now access the Luma3DS chainloader!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Is it good?

The console started without errors! Can I update it or no?

Are you able to access the 3DS home menu? I'm getting the same error as you and the instructions in this thread are extremely hard to follow. What did you do to get to this point?

I honestly won't suggest following this thread for help because it's a complete mess. If you are running A9LH, then you need to update B9S and download the latest nightly for Luma3DS.
If you are already on B9S, just install the latest nightly that I posted.

In the root of your SD card do you have a file called "arm9loaderhax.bin" or "boot.firm?" If you have a "arm9loaderhax.bin," then you are running A9LH. If you a "boot.firm," then you are running B9S.

Just to clarify here, I started off with the original error message that started this thread. Somewhere along the line, after following the instructions, my DS booted straight to the home screen while I was holding start. Everything seems to work normally. Should I be worried that nothing booted while holding start?
