Homebrew A question regarding "system applications"

So I got the notification (as im sure the vast majority of us did) saying that Miiverse was closing and that got me thinking, is it "safe" to remove such applications from the system when they are inevitably discontinued/no longer serve a use, like the Face Raiders game I never used, the AR card stuff (because my nephew trashed/lost the cards) and the Nintendo Zone App, and soon to be the Miiverse app, or would removing these with FBI irreparably break the system?

Perfectly safe to remove, of course your system will then not count as fully updated since some system apps are not of the same version available on the server
