so im having a slight issue, im on 6.0.1 (AMS 0.8.1) i was trying to get retroarch to play a n64 game and it crashed so i put it into RCM. no prob used my dongle to reboot the system into cfw and it looks fine (and i know its in cfw because my custom theme is showing) HOWEVER when i go to access the homebrew menu in the album it just opens my screenshots. no button combo works to open it either. and im on auto RCM so it skips the RCM menu.
any idea what i can do?

maybe something happened to your hbl.nsp, like it got corrupted or something.
I was updating SDFiles the other day to 11.5 and I accidentally forgot to copy over that file, causing my scrrenshots to appear when I pressed the album icon.

Is your MicroSD ExFAT or FAT32 formatted? ExFAT has a higher chance of corrupting, and crashes certainly can cause corruption.

im using ExFat but nothing (that i can see) is corrupted. games on SD still load, game saves still load, system still shows my custom theme, 6.0.1 (AMS 0.8.1) still shows in system info.

You were running homebrew when the crash occurred, so it makes sense that homebrew would be the thing to get corrupted. Run Check Disk on the card and see what it finds.

Corruption doesn't necessarily affect the entire card at once when it happens. For me, Zelda stopped working for a week, then corrupted saves for some GBA games, then finally other games stopped working a week later.

If you are running retroarch, fat32 will save you headaches. Like an idiot, I had to suffer 2 card corruptions over 4 months before I finally switched to fat32. No corruptions since then.

Solved by several methods - USB install with tinfoil, NSP splitting, to name a few.
tbh i dont want to have to deal with that. i dont have the necessary cord for usb transfer and nsp splitting is a HUGE pain
EDIT: i know that sounds real stubborn of me but i rarely use actual homebrew and i transfer large files way too often to have to do that every single time

ANNND fixed. ran a repair on my SD, and replaced my files with updated ones. (new atmosphere, boot, config, ect) and it works now
