Hacking A Homebrew to make download on vita possible?

Hey all,

I was wondering if there was any way to make the Vita self-sufficient on terms of downloading content. Let's say I have my personal vpk backups on my computer running a ftp server, is there any way from the web browser or a home-brew that would allow to download my vpk's directly and, in fact, install them from vitashell?

I don't think there is, but that would be bloody amazing. I can't wait for the Vita to feel more and more like a phone c:
