Simple mod changing FPS Cap from 32 to 60.

Recommended OC settings:
Code:
handheld_charging_cpu=1224
handheld_charging_gpu=768
handheld_charging_mem=1600

Not tested in docked mode.
For 1.0.2 and older - AHatInTime-60FPS.zip
For 1.0.4 (and maybe 1.0.3) - AHatInTime-60FPS-1.0.4.zip

Copy folder 010056E00853A000 to sdcard folder
atmosphere/titles (Atmosphere 0.9.4 and older)
or
atmosphere/contents (Atmosphere 0.10.1+)
or
reinx/titles
or
sxos/titles

And restart Switch.

Is this kind of stuffs safe for the console? i mean... playing a game that comes to run 30fps by default in 60fps... wont it damage my console?

It's only running the CPU slightly faster than docked clocks and GPU same as docked. There are some concerns about the battery being overloaded and heating up when overclocking on battery, but since it is set to charging only it should be perfectly safe.
The CPU is good up to 1.7ghz according to tests but that may not be good for the battery if overclocking on battery. Not sure what the safe limit is for overclocking on battery, but I personally would avoid it. As it is the Switch only gets warm to the touch when docked, not hot, so 1.2ghz should still be safe.

I somehow cannot get this to work. I have the latest Atmosphere version, Hat in time is up to date, I overclocked with the right settings, and I put the folder under titles. Any idea why it doesn't work?

Try using sys-clk editor.

On v1.0.3, for some reason it crashes the game giving me an error screen.

I did restart my switch before as well.

Thanks to @Kirby567fan now I know that issue in 1.0.3 comes from changes to configs priority and configs files itself. switchengine.ini in 1.0.3 now has more lines, lack of it in current patch probably is crashing game. Now if you have already savefile, switchengine.ini won't change FPS. We are trying to check if we can make one 60 FPS mod for people who have and doesn't have created save.

For now I couldn't find method to avoid it, so I updated topic with all I know about 1.0.3.

Edit: deleted mod for 1.0.3, because it looks like something else is in use.

    Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol

    @The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

    AI assisted game creation might become a thing
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    At least that's something I think would be pretty cool.

    Don some VR glasses and gloves and talk to the computer and paint entire worlds

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Many TBs of assets and the programming of something like that is going to be tough but I think it's something we might see in 20 years maybe sooner
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    @Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there

    and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening
