Hacking A Few Questions, Just Want To Be Safe

i'm planning on installing a csm on my wii and i just need to make sure i have everything if something goes wrong

i have boot mii on my sd card so it will appear if i start my wii with it in
i used boot mii to make a nand backup which i now have on my computer

also if something goes wrong and i fix it...

will i be able to access nintendo wifi services
if so will i still have all of my wifi info (game stats, purchases, etc.)

just to be sure, if something goes wrong i just put the backup on my sd card, load boot mii, and hit the button with the arrow pointing from the sd card to the wii right?

make sure u made the csm file using the correct *.app file for your firmware/region

Correct, however u could instead reinstall the original *.app for your firmware/region using mymenuify, this will undo any changes your custom theme did to ur wii (but of course if this doesn't work for some reason u can always do a nand restore as u mentioned)

on my sd card i have armboot.bin, bootmii.ini, and ppcboot.elf in a bootmii folder
don't you need it as boot2 for it to work?

when u have ur sd card with those files in the wii, does it turn on directly to bootmii? If so, u have it as bootmii as boot2

it can still be used if its installed only as IOS, but it offers less brick protection, and priiloader is strongly advised if ur in this position

and when i don't have my SD card in it loads to the health screen and then the Wii menu like normal

so i assume that's a yes to boot2?

anything else i should know before i try installing a csm?
