Hacking A couple questions about some A9LH updates...

I did the a9lh on my n3ds, o3ds, and 2ds some time ago. It seems there have been a few updates since. Are there any updates to the a9lh itself? I seen something about screen flicker? How do I update a9lh?

Also, the is a new version of FBI out now. I replaced the system warning app with FBI on my sysnand of all 3 units. How do I update this?

To update a9lh, you can use safea9lhinstaller. Read the instructions there to figure out how, but know that there's really no reason to update a9lh unless you really need to.

Dump H&D app, generate a new one using Universal Inject Generator, Inject it.

The main improvement as you mentioned was with how screen init works, and that it doesn't cause the screen flicker. If that's something that *really* bugs you, you can update it, but overall it's not necessary.

If you want to update, you can use Aurora's fork of A9LH with safea9lhinstaller which will let you update without your OTP.

Thank you. It doesn't "bug" me, but to be honest, I enjoy all the hacking processes more than playing any of the games. In fact, the end game is to just make these systems all kid friendly for my 5 year old son. His 2ds is light years better now than the online process needed for his gateway... That was a nightmare and I was always worried about an accidental update... Now he just powers on and plays

By the way, it might be worth mentioning: If you can find a secondary CIA installer like DevMenu.cia (which I can't link here because it is copyrighted Nintendo material), you could inject your original Health&Safety back on, then use DevMenu to update FBI every time there's a new FBI update (On both programs, installing a .cia with the same software serial will replace the old version).

That way, you no longer need to generate .app injections and can just re-install the updated .cia. (And you get to keep your H&S app, if you care about that)

You can actually update FBI with FBI. I just updated FBI 1.4.17 to 2.0.4 I think the versions were by installing the new version with the currently installed one.
