Me getting a PSP will heavily depend on it's emulation power

1. How is it's Emulation Speed for the PSX emulator?
2. How does it handle the different disk swaps such as FFVIII or Monster Rancher (save then change vs Change while one is loaded)
3. Are the actual control's as intuitive as the PSX controller (such as is armored core playable with the control's)

Main games i have that i will want to be emulating
Armored Core
Megaman Legend's 1 & 2
Gran Turismo 2
Final Fantasy IX

And emulation is important to me since there aren't many psp games i want right now other than maybe
FFT (is it even worth playing the port?)
God of War

Thank you for listening to my questions any insight you can provide will be appreciated

Don't bother using the emulator.

Use a custom firmware, then use the inbuilt emulator (Made by Sony) and convert PSX ISOs to EBOOT.PBPs.

They run 100%.

(Well, most.)

If you use the Sony one...

1) Perfect.
2) In the latest firmware Disc Swap is present if you create MultiDisc EBOOTs.
3) Yes, every key is remapped to the PSP's equivalent. The only keys which are a bit tricky are L2 and R2, as the PSP doesn't have those. They are mapped on the Analog pad.

Press home while playing the ps1 game to switch around the controls a bit.

Some PSX games have compatability problems, usually solved through using older versions of POPSloader. As for CD switching, some games (like FF7-9) let you save before switching disk, so you can just load that save when you run the next EBOOT. You can also convert all 3/4 disks into a single EBOOT, and the home menu will let you switch disks when it asks.

As for monster rancher, you'll need CWcheat to change the type of monster it reads from the disk. It takes the fun out of trying all your old music and games to see what you find, but you can't possibly emulate that on a PSP (although you could in ePSXe, and then take the save from there over to your PSP).

See http://www.gamerspress.com/index.php?title...patibility_List for a list of game compatability issues. Generally though, almost every game works fine.

I've recently been playing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Sorceror's Stone) and it's surprisingly good

Be careful with Chrono Cross. It has a lot of entries in the Compatability list about it crashing either in the first boss battle, or when you open the character status menu. I had the misfortune of ending up with both problems in my version, so when I download a fresh dump, I'm going to try some of the solutions on the link.

See my earlier post for the link to the compatability list.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
