I can already hear people breaking out their plastic to order them a SKY3DS. I dont want to hear again "Oh, its just one line of code" "Its going to be blocked next update" Sorry guys. I own both cards. I know which one is the best. The best isnt the one that has the most features. The best is the one that works on the latest firmware on the latest console(n3ds) and that my friends is SKy3ds.

The writing is on the wall. Gateway is finished. Im happy I got my Gateway for my 3ds XL, but as for has future proof? Gateway cant claim that on the future console... the console of the here and now. Sky3ds can, and yet it gets hated on for no good reason.

Gateway pussyfooted around, and for the time being.. no n3ds support.. 9.5 emunand..no multi rom... And yet, Gateway will still be > than Sky3ds on this board.

SKy3ds is clearly the future.

I was deactivating all of the REAL trolls who said with confidence that Sky3ds would be blocked by the next update. I never mentioned GW...until right now at this moment.
As usual, all of the GW trolls were wrong.

Last, I am too busy actually playing games to be 'trolling' anybody. See? Sky3ds actually works. So, there is no...."soon".

It's not like we really need 9.5 support anytime soon anyway, as game updates are now released as .cia files. One could update his emunand to 9.5 (or use another SD card for that purpose), dump all the new updates then put back it's 9.4 emunand again.

And it's not like if it was the first time the multirom is broken with a new firmware update. It already happened with the 9.2 firmware and got quickly fixed.

It always like that, new update either break the multirom or just give a black screen.

A team that creates a card that can't be patched within 3 pretty much any updates is pretty much... "good", compared to a team that needs to update their firmware each fucking time an update is released.

Ok tested Gatway on 9.5 emunand. It boots up and installed CIAs/Homebrew boots fine. But gateway's multirom menu no longer works. So that pretty much means you can't load roms off the red card while on 9.5 currently. I'm rolling back to 9.4 to confirm this.

So I'm getting a gateway tomorrow, and I want to know if I can format emunand, then update the emunand and still perform a system transfer (to my secondary 3DS, already updated to latest) and then format the emunand again just to put it back on 9.2 and run roms

Can you install dlc patches , play eshop games and have full compatibility?

Seriously , why do I even want the latest version when I can install patches with devmenu? devmenu> anything sky3ds can offer

i would argue that the best flashcard is the one with the highest game compatibility

What does it matter if it gets blocked? You guys need to spend more time playing on your flash carts and less bickering on forums about them. More than half the fun for me is setting up the hacks. Others like the simplicity of the Sky. Who cares? Get what you want, play some Nintendo.

Who said they were bad? Can't people just accept most people are interested into sky3DS because it lack important features? (at least features considerated as imported by people). Foreign games, eshop games (especially VC injections) and cia management, for example. Not to mention most people don't want one after the fake roms limit they seemed to have created on their first version.

And why would you need to update to 9.5 yet with a gateway anyway? There is actually no need at all. If you want a game update, just install the .cia version, and it's done.

It's cool that people who have a Sky3DS are happy with it, there's no problem at all with that.
