8BitDo Retro Receiver for Gamecube

This thing kinda sucks a little bit. I love the idea of it, but I've been having non-stop problems with the device. Been trying to use it since it released, but every controller I use with it occasionally fires off an extra input, messing me up in games and shit. It's like the sensitivity on the receiver is messed up or something. I can't find any firmware updates or anything; which is a shame, because blueretro is a bit worse in terms of default button mappings (and it's also damn near impossible to change them).

Has anyone been able to test the 8BitDo Retro Receiver for Gamecube with the Switch Online SNES controllers?

That would be my preferred controller to use on my modded Wii. Specifically with all the retro emulators like snes, genesis, mame, gameboy...etc.

Any confirmation on this would be helpful.
