Well then I guess you've never played Animal Crossing, Tony Hawk, Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid Pinball and other graphically intensive games. Try those and then get back to me. So why are I and everyone on this board and other boards mentioning the lag problem for, are we all off our rockers? You just have never played the real game cart. In the begining of Animal Crossing once it says to press start and you do you'll notice how it puts out the letters very slow and the background 3d kinda slows down a bit. Also when coming out of any building hold the direction pad and press run and you'll notice a pause. Those are the two main slowdowns in AC and for you not to have them while everyone else does is not possible. Other games have the problem as in Tony Hawk there is choppy framerates with music playing and in Metroid Prime Hunters free look to fast will make the framerate chug a bit. Unless you're using media 60X or higher you WILL have these problems.

Will you just give it up?! Let people find out on their own (that you are greatly exaggerating). Why is it such a huge objective of yours to inform everyone and their mother that you simply MUST have a high speed SD card? I really doubt you're doing it for the good of other people, as your replies are condescending and fraught with misinformation. I have no idea why you continue to preach your strange gospel to everyone; a word comes to mind whenever I come across someone as yourself.

Troll.

hes not a troll. I have the same lag problems in AC and MPH. I think you guys either have crappy senses and cant detect the slowdown or just lying to yourselves because you dont want to admit that you just bought a product which doesn t have flawless performance. Its called Buyers Remorse

Well, slowdowns or not, here in Europe is extremely difficult to find 80X microSD.

Usamemory.net doesn't ship to many countries in Europe including mine (Greece and Cyprus).

I've sent several emails to them and they didn't even bother replying to me.

So, I would appreciate if anyone knows an e-shop that sends 80X microSDs to Europe.

Hmm, no I'm not greatly exaggerating the problem at all as the framerate drop is significant and enough to ruin or interrupt your gaming experience. And what the hell are you doing in a thread when the main topic is slowdown from slow media! Who’s the real troll here? Thanks to the poster above as well just to know I'm not crazy and am the only one experiencing horrid slowdown in certain games. Some people would rather die admitting they saw nothing then to admit the obvious.

Sneefs latest posts prove that SC Lite is indeed faster than SC miniSD.

I quote:

"

1) the new patcher is out. got it from the chinese supercard site. transflash-specific patcher. my supercard dealer was kind enough to sms me today to tell me that in order to save properly, I need to patch the games with a new patcher.

couldn't get through to the english site, but got the chinese download page. Smile

it includes an app for patching "moomshell" for supercard lite. hahaha.. good old MOOMshell..

and it's called supercard patcher for Micro SD PRO Version. not sure what it means by "pro version"... gonna try it in a bit

2) i dont know why, but after patching animal crossing with the new patcher, it runs quite acceptably! it is, of course, a little slowed down at the menu, but its better, and not bad at all considering its a standard microSD.

They must have done something.. maybe i'm just so tired from work that everything seems to be moving faster, to my tired mind. haha..

UPDATE: NICE.. whatever they've done, its excellent. Tony Hawk runs quite acceptably too! acceptable: meaning that there is a bit of a slower response than the original cart, but not bad at all, and doesn't feel sluggish.

I am pretty impressed. very glad I bought this! Smile gonna sell one of the g6 Lites (got a second "final version" g6 Lite)"

So, I suppose with a UltraII Sandisk there shouldn't be any slowdowns. But getting an 80X microSD would be the best.

So, please......anyone......could a kind soul here tell us poor European kiddos if there is any e-shop that sells 80X microSDs ans sends them to Europe? Usamemory.net excluded (they don't ship to all Europe).

I'm curious to see how the SC Lite does with the new software and a round of reviews. I hope it does better then it has been doing as I want to get one. The only reason I'm putting it off as of now is the fact that microSD memory capacities are only 512MB for cards with 80X and 1GB for cards with 60X. I'll probably wait for 1GB with 80X or higher as anything less you might as well buy a G6 Lite

It's threads like this one which are exactly the reason why i recommended we add a media compatiblity list with details about the different media to the site. Just look at all the trouble and discussion it is causing

It would seem to me that he is trying to justify to himself why he shouldn't be interested in a SCL.. after all he has already mentioned on other threads that he has a 'Phat' DS and doesn't want to get a DSL, so he couldn't use the SCL even if he wanted so it's strange that he even has so much interest in it.

It's fair enough to state your opinion once or twice, but to be honest he has posted too excessively on this issue.

Your post is in response to a review which already states that the new software has improved the lag to an acceptable level even using a standard micro SD card.

That is good news. So it actually is faster than previous Supercards
Sneefyes it sure is.. just played some stuff on my wife's sc miniSD, and i can really feel the difference. and her's is using a 66x miniSD.

[edit] that was an answer to mazza's post [/edit]

So it's faster than the Supercard Mini SD even with a slower card. My Supercard Ultra should do just dandy

lol ultra super mega hyper chapmion turbo edition. lol

Why do you laugh????

This is serious!!!!

According to some people here, you need a microSD of 15000000000X or better to run the games without slowdown on the SC Lite.

Unfortunately, I looked everywhere for the ultra super mega hyper chapmion turbo edition and noone has it yet.

Well, the Sandisk 66X should be fine....
