A man has been charged with possession of child pornography after a police raid on a Sydney business in Sydney's north-west.

Police say more than 9,000 images of child pornography, as well as movies, were recovered during a forensic examination of computer equipment found during a raid on the man's home and business.

The 54-year-old Marsfield man was arrested at the Epping business yesterday.

He has been granted bail to face Ryde Local Court next month.

The man's arrest is part of an investigation by the Child Protection and Sex Crimes Squad that began in 2006.
