Why did you go through all of that? I just tried it on 5.50 Beta 3 and it worked. Although I'm suspecting Beta 4+ and the final will have this patched. I might roll back to 5.05.

Boost Mode was added in 4.50.
Supersampling was added in the 5.50 beta.

Sorry but. How do you think you'll rollback? I swear updates are non reversible

Beta's are i think.

Correct. You can roll back to stable from beta versions. You just can't roll back to a previous beta.

Gotta love when people "like" posts with incorrect information. ;) @darkfuturez

I got 5.05 confirmation, I went with that.
I'm gonna roll back to beta and try it there.

there s that HDD thingy which allowed downgrading...
is this really a way to go if i am on 5.00 ? may i be able to get back to 4.55?

There isn't any downgrading method (that we know of), yet. You can only "rollback" from beta versions of 5.50 (there's an option in the menu for that). It's an official method, from Sony, to let people go back to the previous stable version if they encounter problems and they're unhappy with the beta.

All right? There isn't any "HDD thingy which allowed downgrading..." There never was. If you see a website promising you that you can downgrade, it's 100% fake. They want you to complete surveys, download a bunch of crap (viruses) and possibly even brick your console, because hey, why not.

I was thinking that this webkit exploit should work on Switch too. That probably means a new entry point for installing the Atmosphere CFW

So what does this actually bring in functionality? (and what could I do with my 4.74 Old PS4)?
This currently doesn't do too much, we have to wait for the release of 5.01 kernel exploit to be able to do interesting things.
Until that my PS4 is staying on 4.73
