I believe the slowdowns only happen in GTA, because it's known for having problems when compressed at level 9. However, other games should be exactly the same. But hey, it's your memory card. If you want to waste more space and keep less games in it, then by all means go right ahead.

HUH?! whats DS ROMS got to do with the question here??

thats a pretty USLESS answer to cinnamonxv's question about PSP games!

True but i was just pointing out how much i could fit on an 8 gig card/ 4 gigs 100.... just a comparison really plus i was board.

Anyway back on subject.

Yeah, but you can't compare a DS game to a PSP game. PSP games usually have way better graphics, and require more "man power". If you look at the simple PSP games such as Space Invaders and flow, you'll see that they occupy much less space, about the same space as a DS game.

This thread is only midly advised. While CSOs are smaller file-wise, they need to decompress on the fly, meaning that unless you have a decent amount of space leftover (They'll need to expand as played) they will be slower. For games that read a lot like the GTA ones, ISO is advised.

Just for info, CSO files dont decompress onto the memory stick, they decompress into memory on the fly. Also, you can compress CSO to level 1 which will load quicker than if done at CSO level 9. The difference between level 1 and 9 in terms of file size is fairly slim.
