DeadSkullzJr's NDS(i) Cheat Databases
Hello guys and gals, as some of you may know, and for those unaware, the Nintendo DS has had many cheat databases in the past circulating all over the internet, at one point even GBAtemp had a dedicated, now defunct, cheat section of their own that hosted the latest and official cheat databases. Unfortunately the way these cheat databases were handled back then presented too many problems that never received proper solutions. The level of quality just wasn't there like it was supposed to be, the issues ranged from poor structural management of the supported titles and the cheat codes themselves, cheat codes being a bit of an issue in some use cases, ranging from working but at an inaccurate level, not working correctly at all, crashing the game(s) being played, and or corrupting save data as a whole. Another problem back then was the amount of databases that existed from random people, which caused a conflict where people would have to swap databases out just to gain title support and or utilize cheat codes that one may have had that the other(s) didn't. In December of 2012, the official cheat database received one last update before it was completely abandoned, and has remained like so, until now.
As a veteran of the Nintendo DS scene, I am happy to announce that you no longer have to deal with the old, obscure, and problematic cheat databases any longer. I have worked very hard to not only revive the cheat databases, but to maintain them as well with the highest level of quality, dedication, and love possible. My goal is to provide the (hopefully) definitive cheat database experience for your flash cartridges, homebrew applications, emulators, and or cheating devices respectively.
Task(s) list:
- I organize and restructure the supported titles and cheat lists respectively, providing improved clarity over the content(s) being handled.
- Add additional support for various titles, this includes ROM hacks.
- Add cheat codes others may have stumbled upon or have created over time.
- I create cheat codes of my own and add them to the databases, extending on the content and overall experience.
- I recreate, redesign, and or test older cheat codes constantly to ensure a level of data accuracy is present when utilized, and to make sure they aren't problematic under the same conditions.
Project Integrity:
Artificial intelligence was / is NOT used in any capacity for this project. This is never going to change. The labor is performed out of genuine passion, dedication, and love of the craft.
NOTE:
It has come to my attention as of recent that some individuals are making a premium profit off physical cheat devices, with the main premise being that they are updated with cheats from my databases. DO NOT buy these products. My databases are NOT for sale in any capacity, they are intended to be free of charge. If you run across listings charging a premium, due to the inclusion of these cheats, DO NOT buy from these sellers. They did NOT make the cheats provided. The money they obtain DOES NOT go towards the project(s), let alone do I not see any of that money personally. They never asked permission to make money off the project either. DO NOT buy into these listings, you are being ripped off. Cheats are able to be added and or updated for absolutely free, on any and all supported solutions I have listed within this thread, and in the documentation section of the download.

Keep in mind that the databases are still being worked on, so please be patient with each update. Thank you!

Important:
Cheat codes oriented for the Nintendo DSi and the software associated with said platform are not compatible with the Nintendo DS, or any solution(s) oriented around and or related to the Nintendo DS. This includes flash cartridges, homebrew software, and emulation solutions. In order to utilize cheat codes oriented for software associated with the Nintendo DSi, you will be required to run said software in an environment with Nintendo DSi related capabilities. Cheat codes for Nintendo DSi enhanced software can be utilized in both Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi environments respectively.
- Optimized multiple cheat lists to reflect better accuracy and practicality.
This makes using cheats much safer, results in better data accuracy when in use, and reduces the need for extra redundant cheats.
- Recreated and or overhauled entire cheat lists for some titles.
This includes the addition of entirely new cheats, a new and improved list, and or potential improvements to existing cheats.
- Added and or updated cheats for various titles.

SuperCard DSONE, DSONEi, DSTWO, and DSTWO+ Users:
Due to how the SuperCard DSONE/DSONEi/DSTWO/DSTWO+ cheat engine works within the kernel, there are no button configurations to view any cheat descriptions, which means instructions on how to utilize said cheats will not be viewable on these flash cartridges without using an alternative kernel or homebrew application. Additionally I need to work out the format quirks with the SCC cheat format, for the time being the database for that specific format will be unavailable until the problems are fixed.
Stargate 3DS Users:
This flash cartridge utilizes a modified build of the Wood R4 kernel for DS Mode related content. The developers made changes to this version of the kernel that resulted in a broken cheat engine, which means currently it is not possible to utilize cheat codes using this flash cartridge in DS Mode. I am currently looking into the issues regarding said matter, hopefully I can provide a solution to this problem.

With the nature of cheats in mind, it's generally a rather gray area on whether or not cheats are good or bad whenever online / multiplayer functionality is brought into question. As such, it needs to be stated that my cheat databases are NOT intended for online / multiplayer experiences, primarily because of the severely unfair advantages that some of the cheats offer. There are certain exceptions to this of course, namely cheats that offer a cosmetic or aesthetic change, but offers no advantages against other players. With this in mind, if you witness a player abusing cheats against other players for an unfair advantage, I highly recommend you get in contact with the staff running the online service(s) provided, and report the player in question immediately. I do NOT condone online / multiplayer cheat abuse for an unfair advantage, and you shouldn't either.
Considering the reporting process varies from service to service, it's generally good to be prepared with some form of evidence in mind for any possible report. I suggest the following:
- Taking screenshots / pictures of the player cheating.
- Recording a video of the player cheating.
- Making note of the user's player handle.
- Making note of the possible lobby and or session being played with the player.
In my honest opinion, a video recording is probably the best method of approach, as that covers all of the above options pretty effectively. While not always possible due to inaccessibility reasons, I recommend striving for clear footage if you can, that way the staff of the online service(s) can make out who and what they are dealing with.
While this may seem like a hassle to deal with, consider the idea that it's a hassle not just for you, but for other players playing legitimately as well in general. We collectively have to stand up against these things, in order for us to collectively have better experiences. Such contributions go a long way, all it takes is just one to make the difference needed.
