I assume it just means I can play around freely with a 4.73 system but does it open up doors to get it to latest firmware?

I believe the person doing it is stuck on this FW, they will be looking to be able to fix the issue with 4.7x getting stuck unable to upgrade.. and.. well.. upgrade.

I would personally be happy with a way back to official firmware but even then I would just hit a wall again on the next update

Maybe this spare system is destined to be an emulator box but Ill have to see how far I can take it
