Hardware 3ds xl in storage

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can answer this question? I have a 3ds xl which I am keeping in storage until next christmas - does it matter if I keep the sd card in or should I take it out?

it doesn't really matter, but leave the card inside so it doesnt get lost or something..
you should take out the battery btw..

Thanks for the tips - I had the chance to buy it very cheap from someone local and it'll be a present for my son next christmas. Is it tricky removing the battery? I am pretty hopeless with anything technical.

It's easy as pie so long as you've got a relatively small Phillips screwdriver. Nintendo has directions online. You just remove the battery cover and lift the battery out with your fingernail or some thin, flat tool.

Battery out. SD doesn't matter at all.

I have a feeling OP is hoarding 9.0 - 9.2 consoles to sell them later for profit
