We will promptly work on this after the currently planned hardware update.

Wait, what hardware update, am I missing something?
Either that was a badly placed typo, or they're referring to the Wii 2.

Either way, I don't think that the video that was sent to my 3DS was blurry at all. But... I still can't wait for this 3D movie thing! If it's Netflix, that'll be GREAT!

It's only blurry for me at maximum effect, as are games though. But it's not bad anyway, you don't need it maximum. I'd like to see a 3D video service available but honestly if you buy a movie through the service, you should be able to play it and store it on an SD card which ideally would have to be huge for all the content that Nintendo wants to provide to one portable device. I like the idea of a video service with 3D support but they need to make them affordable, or try and push for some sort support from film companies to get digital distribution on new videos via the combo packs that now include digital downloads.

Youtube and Hulu online would be nice. I'd wait for hacking to expect a video player that supports our own movie files though.

i think the prez (reggie) had said that they wanted to keep the cards to themselves and did hint tht 3d video services will come in the future. Again, something really important just like proper translation.

I didn't find the European movie blurry at all.
All is really well adjusted for both eyes, except the firework because they are too far away to be seen in 3D, it's like they are part of the background.

Maybe they mean the servers for the eShop with the hardware update

thats how i read it.

I read it as updating the hardware (3DS) in the sense of the firmware due out next month. Basically, it sounds like he was just trying to be clear that people should not expect this feature with the new firmware update. But saying "firmware update" to the average Walmart shopper might not be as clear as saying "hardware update." For geeks like us, we make a different distinction, but I suspect that's what he meant.

Old news to me. I knew about this before the launch of the 3DS in the UK because a sales representative told me about it

Sky (www.sky.co.uk), the UK’s largest satellite TV provider, has partnered with Nintendo to offer content from its dedicated 3D channel.

And sports broadcaster Eurosport has also joined forces with Nintendo to provide video content for the 3DS.

Laurent-Eric Le Lay, chairman and chief executive of the Eurosport Group, said: “This partnership is another demonstration of our commitment to innovation and our ability to reach new audiences.”

Nintendo added that it was teaming up with a number of telecoms companies in order to secure wireless hotspot access for the 3DS, having approached BT, Italian providers Guglielmo and Linkem and German provider Deutsche Telekom.

What fireworks? Did Europe get a different version from the US? The video I got was the OK GO dog video.
YES.
JP: Nintendo music video thing.
EU: Random scenes in 3D.
US: OKGO music video thing.

Interest but wait and see.

I have a question. Please bear with my English, smile. Anyway, I noticed Street Fighter on 3DS.. You see hippos in the background ? Why were they not moved at all but the PS3 version can? Now I got a feel that 3DS is not powerful enough as I would like this to. No, I dont own it. I just tried to test it at GameStop in mall.

I don't suppose it's possible to trade videos?
I wanted to know if it was possible, by swapping the video file when updating the 3DS to 1.0.1-1, but nobody tried the proxy-swap method.
We don't know if it's possible, maybe the video wouldn't work if it's signed and region-locked (it's not a video file but a channel), or maybe it would have bricked the 3DS.
So nobody took the risk.

There's no way to change the video once it's already downloaded to your 3DS.
just look at the video on youtube, in 2D.

If their plan is to test a 3D Video service, it's likely that they'll give the three videos as options at some stage, to test the choosing method.
Dunno if normal users would get that, but who knows?

The manual I got with my 3DS has a little slip of paper about parental controls.
It says video and photo sharing can be disabled by the parent, so likely there will be video sharing.(videos you took yourself, not commercial content obviously).

Can you answer my question, pretty please ?
Probably because they'd annoy the balls out of you if they were in 3D.

The backgrounds in SSF4 are static (don't move) in the 3DS version.

They did this to use less resources.

Thank you guys. I will stick with this game for PS3 only.

I had no "problem" watching the firework scene, I mean, to me it had a sense of depth... the fireworks looked flat, but clearly above the background, like paper mario
