Hacking 3DS Theme "Update for data" required for purchasing

Has anyone had "Update for data" required for purchasing when trying to buy a theme? I've bought a theme before and never seen this message. I have not bought the Groudon theme before and this message appears after preparing my SD card.

So would it be safe to update? It just seems rather odd to me. I can also post a photo of the message if I haven't explained it right.

it just updates the Theme Index App, which holds the banner data for all the themes, it is fine to update that

Yes, it's fine.
It's just updating the theme app from 0.5.0 to 0.6.0

Ahhh thanks for that guys, makes sense. I just thought it was a sneaky update of some kind
