Homebrew 3ds SD card recovery

While I was installing some homebrew, some folders on my 3ds SD card were mixed up. I tried to fix it, but I wound up scrambling them even more. Is there any possible recovery, or did I really loose everything.

I don't really know where they go. I can't figure out the file order.

That sucks and all, but shouldn't this be in the "Consoles, Accessories, and Hardware" subforum? This has nothing to do with homebrew or emulators.

Well, the Nintendo 3ds folder should be on the root of the sd card, and the private folder should be within the Nintendo 3ds folder.

Isn't there a folder called private in the root, because I have always had one there.

The Wii and DSi had a private folder on the root, has your SD card ben used in either of those devices as well?
