Hacking 3ds rom trimming

I know I have asked this before, but I just wanted to make sure:
trimmed roms have ABSOLUTELY no problems and run just as fine as a normal untrimmed rom correct? Has any one had any problems with any trimmed games at all ( mario 3d land, dream drop distance...etc )

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work. Ive seen varied results from other members. I currently don't have a gateway so all my roms are untrimmed (and for that matter, unplayed) at the moment.
