okay, so anyway, my virtual machine copy of windows 10, broke, so i reinstalled it and redownloaded the rom, and this time its 2GB, so thats wierd, same website too! anyway ill try the rom and report back.

4gb cart and something like 3.3gb of game data, if i correctly recall, actually.

the MH4u rom im downloading is just about 4GB, maybe a few MB under

Game data on 3ds carts is encrypted, thus even the dead space on the carts doesn't compress well. It might be a 4gb cart (haven't really looked into it, and honestly don't care enough to do so) but it's realistically probably somewhere between 2 and 3gb of data, more likely than not.

but isnt MH4u a big game? it has to store 2 sets of textures, too
