Hardware 3DS rocks, but the cameras?

3Ds is a must buy for me! It just rocks. The only thing that turns me off is the 2 front, 3 mp cameras... They should really include better cameras... I hope that Augmented Reality, from photo to mii creation and in game camera usage will work nicely... On dsi it did not... It was kinda gimmicky and you needed a room with a diferent colour from your clothes to play correctly (wario snapped etc)... Oh please Nintendo do something in order for us to really enjoy camera games :/

iPod touch 4g has 720p recording, and is 0.7 megapixel
It's great quality.
Unless you zoom in, but it's not meant for zooming anyway.
But for entertainment quick photos that look pretty good too

My HTC touch pro has a 3MP camera and it sucks... Badly... I prefer my dsi over my mobile... But i prefer my Nikon D5000 over my Dsi XD

Quality of photo's is not only because of the amount of megapixels

It's like comparing cpu's with only this:
My cpu runs at 3.00 GHz
Mine runs at 2.13 GHz
My cpu seems to win.
Mine cpu, wins.
My cpu = pentium 4
Mine cpu is random up to date awesome hexcore cpu and awesome technology.

My phone has 2 Megapixel camera, and I have used it for a pic of my mouse... surface thingy
It looked WAY better than I ever thought.
It was really, really great for just a telephone.
Way better than my old one.
(I took a picture, and it wasn't even clear on my phone's own screen o.o)

Megapixels don't determine how good a camera is.
For the size of the 3DS screens, 0.3 megapixels is perfectly fine.
HDTV is just over 2 megapixels and people still praise it.

That's what I thought... The quality is perfectly fine for the screens, but will the Ar work correctly on well lit room? Well I guess we will find out in about 6 months

Something you should consider. The 3DS screen isn't capable of displaying a resolution any higher than that of its cameras. Better cameras would be more expensive and useless.
You should be glad they're this good. They're more than enough.

Yup, 400x240 is less than 0.1 megapixels.
