ROM Hack 3DS private header online question

Hi so I have played roms online before. But I just switched over to a new 3DS XL and tried playing smash bros for the first time and I got the "you cannot use online services with this game card" Error code.

Is this the most up to date guide? Also the only game cartridge I own anymore is Steel Diver. So I can use this method to get the private header and inject it into my roms I have downloaded and be able to play them online. Can I use this 1 private header from my personal steel diver to inject into 10+ Online roms? Or do I need 1 private header/ game cartridge per online rom?

Take the ROM, rename it from ".3DS " to ".3DZ "

Also, I could give you a private header, I have a few offline games that I've not used the headers from, I'd be willing to donate a header to you
