Hacking 3DS Power saves - Cartridge supported but not recognized

I purchased Power saves a few days ago and I have a very big issue to confront.

The device cannot detect ANY game I tried.

First of all,I entered a valid e-mail address and my license key.This did not worked.

After that,I re-entered the codes over 100 times to make sure that I have not made any mistakes.

After my next failure,I opened the Powersaves 3DS folder in my PC and deleted the XML file. I re-entered the e-mail and license key and again no game has been recognized.

I must assure you that I bought my device from a local electronics store,I live in Europe and EVERY game cartridge I tested was genuine PAL and supported from Datel's official page. I am also sure that my Powersaves device is made in England because I checked the back of the case.

The games I tried are

-New Super Mario Bros. 2 (LNA-CTR-ABEP-EUR)

-Zelda A Link between Worlds (LNA-CTR-BZLP-EUR)

-Mario Kart 7 (LNA-CTR-AMKP-EUR)

-Super Mario 3D Land (LNA-CTR-AREP-EUR)

and I just downloaded the Powersaves newest version 1.15.


I uploaded a photo showing the screen when I insert a game.

After several e-mail I sent to Datel's support ,they kindly asked me to send them the version numbers from the game cartridges,which I did.

But I am afraid that this is a waste of time as the problem -in my opinion- is not game compatibility but a faulty license key.

My other theory is that perhaps I must manually check in my PC if the POWERSAVES application can connect to the internet.If there is a problem in my connection that does not allow to the application to connect and download the codes. But I have no idea how to do that...

Has anyone experienced any similar problem?

Is there any way to help me,please?

Original title... mine is just one word different :P. But the problem here looks like a internet problem... perhaps firewall?

Yeah, I admit that you gave me inspiration for the title! :bow:

I just enable firewall exception for Powersaves. No luck again.

One thing I forgot to mention is that something VERY weird is happening in the XML file.

The first time I checked it,under the region settings it displayed REGION_EU.
The next day the setting had changed and it displayed REGION_JP.
Yesterday,it was REGION_EU again and today the region has changed to REGION_JP.

I do not own any Japanese games of course!

Hmmm...Weird isn't it?

Just a thought but why not change it to REGION_EU?
And if that's the case that it changes back you can reset your key by mailing them.
I just changed it.Fortunately it does not changes back at least for now, but it cannot find any codes.So,the problem persists...

I will try again to mail them. iI hope that they will send me a new license key because I am pretty sure that this is faulty...:hateit:

Please can we ask you to confirm that you have correctly entered your license key within the Powersaves 3DS software? I can assure you that I entered my license key over 50 times again and again with no luck.

I tried every USB port on my PC with the exact same results.
I even tried 3 (yes,three) different USB cables with the same results again.

I checked my Firewall and enabled Powersaves to the exceptions menu.

I tried 4-5 different PAL games.

I attached to you a photo to see the screen I encounter.

I do not know what else to think.

Is it possible perhaps to provide me a new license key,please?
