3ds local wifi with twilight menu ++ not working

Hey so i have an original copy of diamond in my ds lite in the chat room and my 2ds has twilight room with platinum and they can't find each other. any suggestion?

You need to turn on "WiFi" in the TWLMenu++ Settings menu.

open the twilight menu settings by pressing select and the ds icon that appears on the bottom of the screen and press the L button, then you should see the misc. settings. There you can toggle WIFI by navigating to the option with the D-PAD and pressing A, and once you're done, simply press B to exit the settings menu. That way you can now play online.

What if my problem is not about wifi? I have two consoles with Twilight Menu++ and they don't connect with each other via wireless connection, there's always an error. I can't even exchange pokemons between my consoles in DS games because of this issue
