Both Nintendo and the flash cart companies will try to prevent it.

This, your not just fighting nintendo, the flash cart companies only really have the ds and 3ds left and they want to keep their last money maker.

Get one used. The SNES/GBA emulation's better than the DSTwo's.

Better yet get a laptop, it's gba/snes emulation scene is MUCH better than a psp's or a ds's

Yeah the psp scene was really strong, the vita looks like the next big homebrew device once the scene for it develops more. The vita has alot of power too.

Oh it's not about saving a couple of bucks by not paying the flashcart companies... It's more about being able to do stuff such as putting custom channels on the 3ds/ changing or skinning the system etc. In flashcarts all your homebrew apps and other things were trapped on the card itself

honestly i would rather see a 1:1 clone cart that dont do homebrew but just piracy for now, id rather be able to have just backups and not have to worry up being blocked from online and fw updates etc than have a softmod and have to worry everytime there is an update about eshop online and loosing the hack etc all the time
