Hacking 3DS Hack Without a Flashcard?

Hey guys,

I just recently bought my 3DS a few weeks ago and wanted to jump right into the hacking scene. I was interested in hacking my 3ds without a flashcard and stumbled on a tutorial here: How to Hack the 3DS Step by Step.

The steps are quite clear for installing the custom firmware.

I'm still having trouble with the 3DS roms part though. I'm not asking about where to find roms, but how to get them to run on the 3DS. I know that some eShop games should work with the exploit, and I've had various people tell me that it is, indeed, possible to play roms on the 3DS. So I'm not really asking how to download 3ds games, but if I need a 3ds flashcard to play backups.

Also, since the 3ds has been hacked for a long time now, there are so many 3ds hacks to choose from. Which is the best 3ds hack without a flashcard?

you need devmenu.cia to install the roms on your internal sd card using cfw

It constantly crashes but if you manage to start a game then your good to go.

Also, you need the games in CIA format.
You can either find them yourself as CIA or convert 3DS titles to CIA in a long an bothersome process for which you sure can find a tutorial in the forums.
And as VinsCool says, compatibility is shit.

My suggestion: download the 12 legit cia on That iso site. Install devmemu and then all these cia. Convert The rednand to emunand. Use rxtools to update to the latest emunand. Profit. Now you got pokémon x y oras marios etc for free..

It may be buggy as hell but it's still free like it's supposed to be. Ode's, flashcards and all that stuff sucks big time

well, i'm quite happy with my GW and I think it was worth the money
but yes, would be nice if we got something free and that works
